Our first class on Sunday mornings from 9:40-10:30 is geared towards pre-teens (Grades 5-8). You may pick up your child from the classroom at 10:30.
Shortly after worship begins in the sanctuary, elementary aged children will be escorted out by Ms. Jessica, our SHCC Children&Youth Director, to the Carnes Education Building to begin their Bible lesson and activities. You are welcome to pick up your child from the classroom during the Offertory Prayer if you wish for him/her to participate in Communion; otherwise, you may pick them up after worship ends.
Children’s Sunday School is currently geared towards elementary-aged students, but older youth are welcome to assist with the lessons and participate. Children and youth may also serve as acolytes, worship leaders, and assist with community outreach volunteer events.
