Denomination

Our denominational vision is shaped from the words of Micah 6:8, “The Lord has shown you what is good.  He has told you what he requires of you.  You must act with justice.  You must love to show mercy.  You must be humble as you live in the sight of your God.”

The statement of identity for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) can be summarized by the phrase, “We are a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world.”

The Disciples are known by many as the one mainline Christian denominations that was founded in the United States.  We have been around since the early 1800’s.  Our churches are congregationally ruled, we practice baptism by immersion, and the Lord’s Supper or Communion is celebrated every week.  The Table is open to all who are, or long to be, followers of Jesus Christ.
