If you were to embark upon a religious pilgrimage where would you go? I asked myself this question as our group made its way to Israel on May 19th. Our trip was a success, and I’m confident that those who joined us returned with the certainty that their lives had been enriched by the experience. Some were baptized in the Jordan River, others shared the Lord’s Supper near a garden tomb. We enjoyed an abundance of Middle Eastern food and met a number of new friends.
Now that we’re back, I’m hard pressed to think of an alternative site for a religious pilgrimage. Jerusalem is my personal choice. We look forward to sharing our experiences with our church community soon and know we’ll sponsor additional trips in the future. Thanks for your prayers and support during our absence. It’s nice to be home.
