When someone asks about Shepherd of the Hills, we often echo our denomination’s statement of identity by answering, “We are the church for recovering Christians.”
Our Mission Statement is connected to Micah 6:8 in asking, “…what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
At Shepherd of the Hills we strive to follow Jesus example of loving God and neighbor (Luke 10:27).
Our focus is to be an open, accepting church family that is committed to spiritual growth and community involvement.
Worship at SHCC can be characterized as, “traditional with an atmosphere of openness.”
Sermons are conversational in nature and are typically based on scriptural passages from the common lectionary. The Lord’s Supper or Communion is served every Sunday and is open to all who choose to come to God’s table.
