Alvin and Elsie East Scholarship

Applications for the Alvin and Elsie East Scholarship for the 2012-2013 school year are now available in the SHCC office. Students who are or will be engaged in higher education at the college and graduate levels and are members of Austin area Disciples of Christ congregations are eligible to apply. The applications must be postmarked no later than March 1, 2012. If you are unable to pick up an application during office hours, please email Christina and request a pdf form of the document.

Laity Sunday

Please join us on Sunday, January 29, for Laity Sunday! We will feature special music during worship and be led by our own congregational members (the laity) in the theme of Christ as our cornerstone: Come to him, a living stone, though rejected by mortals yet chosen and precious in God's sight, and like living stones, let yourselves be built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. - 1 Peter 2:4-5.
